Ingredients

  • 3 cups Medjool dates, pitted
  • 4 scoops of your favorite protein*
  • 1 ½ Dark Chocolate Chips (Camino brand suggested)
  • 1 ½ cup of ground almonds
  • 1 cup of coconut flakes
  • ½ cup of warm water (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Place your dates in a bowl of hot water to soften them for 5-10 minutes.  After softened, chop with a sharp knife prior to adding to mixture.
  2. Grind almonds in food processor and add to a mixing bowl.
  3. Add in protein powder, chocolate chips and mix.
  4. Add a little hot water gradually if mixture is too dry to bind together.
  5. Roll the mixture into 1 tsp size balls.
  6. Roll each ball in the coconut flakes.
  7. Store on the counter for 3-5 days, and after that store in the fridge or the freezer.
