Ingredients

  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder

  • 1/4 or 1/2 avocado

  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds

  • 1/4 cup organic frozen blueberries

  • vitamin D drops (follow recommended dose)

  • 2 cups unsweetened oat milk

  • for probiotic boost: add yogurt, the contents of a probiotic capsule, or Smoothie Builder by Squamish Water Kefir

This winter immune booster smoothie is low in sugar and loaded with vitamin C, trace minerals, vitamin D, folate, probiotics, omega 3’s, and an abundance of antioxidants. It also has the rich flavour of the heavier-feel foods that we crave during the winter.

Instructions

Presoak your chia in your liquid of choice in advance for a few minutes so that they are gelatinous. Place all ingredients in a high-speed
blender, and blend to the desired consistency. If you aren’t using frozen blueberries, you can add a small handful of ice. Once blended, pour and serve!
